30 Rock actor Tracy Morgan has written a comedy book named I Am the New Black and to promote it he’s taking the strange tack of bashing his former co-stars for being nobodies. E! Online reports:
“I can remember being on Saturday Night Live and feeling like I was on the bottom of the totem pole,” he says in the clip obtained by Gawker. “I could remember when people like Cheri Oteri and Chris Kattan would probably look down upon me. I could remember those two, especially those two, people treating me like I was the invisible guy. Now look where they at. Cheri Oteri, she can’t even get arrested. Where’s Chris Kattan now?”
Unlike Tracy Morgan, who is a somebody, you see. Somebody who didn’t turn down the opportunity to “act” alongside Chris Kattan a scant three years ago in a direct-to-video Fame rip-off called Totally Awesome:
Three years is a long time in showbiz. Let’s see where Tracy Morgan is in 2012.
And yes, that is his character in the clip above saying, “There’s a requirement to being black. You ever got a female pregnant when you was, like, 7? Then you can’t be black.” I’m sure the African-American community is so proud to have him as their self-appointed representative.

I’ve never seen 30 Rock and I think it is an awful, terrible, and unfunny show.
“But how can you know that Pastafarian, you’ve never seen it!”
Thanks for asking. Because just about everyone in my family likes it, and they ALL think “Family Guy” is hysterical.
Cheri Oteri and Chris Kattan looked down on Tracy?
What is he then, like two feet tall?
Pasta – I agree with you on Family Guy….I just don’t get it but whatever.
30 Rock, watched it once on Netflix….uhm…don’t get that one either.
Stay classy, Tracy. Just like Will Ferrell–class all the way.
Aww, I was actually wondering whatever happened to Cheri Oteri the other… month or so. She was back when SNL had its best female cast (my opinion[so fact]) ever. With her, Ana, and Maya all at once. Chris Kattan was on an episode of Sunset Tan on E! Balls in your court, Tracy.
Does Morgan still host Scare Tactics, on the Sy Fy Channel?
Or is that in reruns.
And didn’t he get that gig AFTER Shannon Doherty AND Stephen Baldwin both left?
Tracy who? Seriously. I vaguely recall him on SNL and only saw scare tactics in commercials while flipping stations. Is he such a big shot now he can dump on others like this?
I think Cheri Oteri is doing “Life Coach”. Which…may not actually be a show. Still, Tracy’s being a bit of a tool, as it isn’t exactly like he’s burning up the screens at the local Googolplex.
There’s nothing in this world more un-funny than someone who believes they are funny.
Tracy, you are not Funny.
But…
You are very Lucky.
Who?
So I watched Thirty Rock last night – meh. Not so impressed but I did get to see the ‘i participate’ ads the White House is pushing on us through television. Apparently if you go the site it takes you to the White House’s serve.gov site. From there you are entertained by planned parenthood videos along with a video that sets straight all those ugly lies about Obama Care.
Big Hollywood has lots of info and a list of the show participating.
