Actress Rebecca Gayheart is pregnant with Grey’s Anatomy star Eric “McSteamy” Dane’s progeny, and pardon me if I’m a little hard on the lucky bitch. She recently told InTouch magazine about her super virtuous prenatal health program:
“I’m doing yoga, and I’m walking on the beach every day with my dogs for about an hour,” Rebecca, 38, shared at the IWC Schaffhausen Michael Muller event in Hollywood.
“I drink lots of water and eat a lot of vegetables and protein.”
Rebecca also shared that her McSteamy husband will be a great role model: “I think Eric is going to be a wonderful dad, and hopefully I’ll be a good mom,” she said. “We’re absolutely looking forward to it!”
So remind me, where does driving around smoking fit into that regimen? Because between the baby on the way and how she works with kids who have cancer through the Art of Elysium charity, sucking down cigarettes is kind of a surprising about-face on that Gwyneth Paltrow-esque wholesome image.

I bet she stays skinny without dieting, too. I guess we know who the next guest writer for GOOP will be.
Was this what she was doing when she hit that kid with her car?
F***ing -A, that is horrible for your unborn kid.
Shame on you.
GAYheart tee hee!
yeah really beige! and other than killing a poor child, what else is she famous for? oh being that guy on grey’s anatomys wife.
Don’t forget about the threesome sex tape — I’m sure that’ll really boost the kid’s opinion of mom and dad.
Hey, she was Luke Perry’s wife on 90210. That HAS to mean something
However, her smoking while pregnant is just plain horrible. I hope she gets called out on it.
Jeez louise, what’s wrong with people today? It’s not like years ago, before they knew what smoking does to you and your unborn child. My mom smoked with me — and I was born premature, only weighing 1.9 pounds, and was only 10 inches long. I had to be in an incubator for three months before I could come home. Thanks to retinopathy of prematurity, I’m technically legally blind and unless my eyesight stabilizes I will most likely go blind at some point. All because my mom smoked while pregnant. I don’t hold it against her, since back then (late 70s) I’m not sure they really knew how bad for you smoking was. But now? Absolutely NO EXCUSE. I get that cigarettes are an addiction, but jeez, which is more important: getting your fix, or having a healthy baby?
I think the flabby ghost smokes, too.
A family friend gave birth to a Down’s baby in the early 80s, and the doctors believed that her smoking while pregnant was a major factor in the baby’s condition.
C’mon, Gayheart, man up and quit already. At 38 you’re already a higher risk for chromosomal issues.
right and it’s her first kid to and it’s not always smoking that causes the problems lack of oxygen from other factors and smoking in early pregnancy actually curbs the morning sickness unless your one of those lucky ones that doesn’t have to deal with that
I was born to a smoking mother and nearly 2 weeks after my intended due date lack of oxygen and maconium asperation though I wasn’t under weight at birth like most children of smokers are congrats to rebecca and eric on their impending bundle of joy
here’s an example of a celeb child born to parents who at the time were both realtively heavy smokers granted this was before the public knew how dangerous smoking was
and for this particular couple this would’ve been their second child had they not suffered a miscarriage on their honeymoon about 20 months before this was taken right this is Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward with their oldest daughter Nell after she was christened in October of 1959 Nell and both her younger sisters turned out perfectly fine even though mum and dad smoked most of their adult lives not quitting until the girls were all adults themselves
