REVEALED: Tony & October Gonzalez (And welcome, BlindGossip.com readers!)
This anti-fur PETA spokesperson owns several fur-trimmed leather coats. He/She has helped his/her spouse buy many genuine fur coats, “some of which have been purchased quite enthusiastically in recent seasons,” according to one fur retailer who has sold the couple lots of expensive outerwear. These are coats that PETA knows about but doesn’t seem to mind, as long as the resulting publicity is good.
A Los Angeles publicist who supports animal rights groups instructed this celeb, who appears on television more than a dozen times each year, to participate in a 2009 anti-fur promotion with PETA. The spouse was recently overheard telling one friend over the phone: “It’s no big deal. They just told us we couldn’t wear our coats this year.”
For the past six years, both celeb and spouse have actively courted a prominent fur retailer, seeking support for a children’s charity for which this celebrity serves as Honorary Chairman. The charity’s top sponsor is a pharmaceutical company that tests its products on lab animals, a fact that also doesn’t appear to bother PETA.

I searched 20 pages of Google results for 2009 PETA anti fur campaign celebrity. Most pages list the same five people, who aren’t married. I refuse to click on anything that might support PETA, so I was mostly limited to reading the summaries. I’m going with Tony Gonzalez and his wife who is apparently named October. No joke.
Isn’t it sad that Britney Spears had/has the sense not to pose/support PETA, but few others in Hollywood have yet to realize their idiocy? A girl who actually HAS mental problems (not knocking her for it, not her fault) gets it, but supposedly competent (I use the term loosely) people don’t. Come on now!
This would be a better contest if the t-shirt had fur trim.

Tony Gonzalez and his wife…but I googled it, I would have never guessed it, so that’s cheating. My original guess was Mariah Carey and her kept man…whatever the name is, but I suppose that’s wrong.
I will go with Posh and Beckam. The quote sounds like something Posh would say. And they are models of many different things and I am sure the products are tested on animals.

Yep. It’s most likely Tony Gonzalez who has a foundation named after him. There was a blurb last Sunday by a commentator, the wife claims that they weren’t actually nude. If she’s dumb to boast about that, she’s dumb enough to think she can wear fur again next fall.
But as my backup geek wild card, I’ll add Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica, Horatio Hornblower) and wife Kerry Norton (also Galactica). They work with SPARKS (pediatric neuroblastoma research). Apparently Bamber’s totally against bear fur, which I kinda thought went out of fashion sometime around Napoleon’s tour of greater Waterloo.

I’m going out on a limb and think it’s Tom Bergeron and his wife. He fits a couple of the original hints and the second group of hints. Plus he’s not unknown for liberal causes.
