Former Disney star Hilary Duff is on a downward slut spiral, you guys. Not that she’s admitting to it:
HILARY DUFF has tattooed the word ‘Shine’ on her hand – to remind her to always sparkle.
The So Yesterday singer insists the little ink reminder gets her out of moments of doom and gloom.
She tells Nylon magazine, “It’s just for me to look at and remember. I feel like it’s easy to lose your shine, to lose that special thing about yourself.
“When you get busy or you get tired and you feel like everything is fake or the world is against you, it’s important to keep your character and to let your light shine.”
The No. 1 way yo keep your character shiny and bright? Play a character who initiates a booze-fueled threesome on a network television show that caters to a teenage audience. I never miss an episode of Gossip Girl but even I was scandalized by that scene.
And not to brag, but I totally saw this coming.

Shine? Shine? Why not Jazz Hands? It would be even more special.
The worst thing about would-be hipster tattoos is not the dubious quality of the art, or the spelling. It’s their slackjawed, slickchinned “reasons” behind getting the tattoos in the first place. If people like Hilary Duff want to be “reminded” of something, how about tattoos that read “Don’t be a douchebag” and “Wear underpants”?
LOL, Beige. Or “don’t forget the underpants” upside down.
She should have gotten “Breath in, Breath out” tatooed on the inside of her eylids. That way she remembers to breath. On second thought, mybe it would be a good thing if she forgot how to breathe.
Ummm… where’s the deception or hypocrisy? Unless you might be suggesting that people that get/have tattoos are “bad,” I don’t see it. Again.
I’m with Freak Show on this one. So she played a less then “shiny” character. She’s an actor that’s her job, choosing a disturbed or messed up character is part of the fun of being an actor. It doesn’t necessarily reflect on you as a person.
Silly reason to get a tattoo, but I suppose it’s like rubberband therapy where when you think bad thoughts you snap the band.
Do you really have to ban a show no one really watches?
Well she got famous for being Lizzie McGuire, a squeaky-clean Disney star who could do no wrong. And then used her fame to start a slut-filled, skanky Hollywood career. I know, I know, they all do that! But still!! It’s hypocritical to start out promoting cutsey, values-based stuff then switch to slut after you’re famous. Say/imply you’re an angel, then act like a whore. That’s about as bad as it gets.
Why the hand? Did she see Lilo and Stitch, and want to emulate Cobra Bubbles? Why not just write it on your hand with a Bic pen for a while?
Just admit it, Hilary. You couldn’t think of anything cool, so you just had the artist put the first word that came to mind. If tattoos are a way to express your personality, her personality is banal.
I think really she just needed to profess her love for tin foil.
Considering that watching Duff in…well, ANYTHING is analogous to chewing tin foil during a fingernails-on-blackboard tournament, I choose to go with Pearce’s theory there.
I would HIT IT!
hilary can do wat she wants she is 22 years old she is an adult why r people talkin bout her and not miley cyruses tattooo?!? i mean imm still gonna be hilarys 1 fan she didnt ask 2 be
Oh, great Caesar’s ghost. I hate it when 11-year-olds show up here.
What happened to proper spelling and grammar? I guess I am old school. Good lord!
What happened to coherence and reasoning ability, while we’re at it? Somebody tell me again how great our public schools are, because what with all the monkeys-with-typewriters caliber trolls, I keep forgetting.
We jus B hatin agin, yo.
We all been haterz, Beige. We jus gotta exsept dat. We all jus been haterz.
For the record, I spelled better than that when I was 11 years old.
