Missouri Memo: “Show Me” the Hypocrisy

Obama 2008 McCaskill

U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO), yesterday on CNN:

“Unlike a myopic focus on Iraq, this administration is going worldwide in this war and is focused on it. And I think it is unfair and, frankly, political to take pot shots at the president as we respond to this failure in our systems that we’ve got to get fixed.”

Aaaaand McCaskill a few years ago (Sept. 6, 2006), when the Oval Office was occupied by someone else:

George Bush let people die on rooftops in New Orleans because they were poor and because they were black.”

H/T: Gateway Pundit, who also documents how McCaskill’s 2006 slam was baseless

McAsskill is right. Didn’t you know George Bush hates black people? She’s a white Democrat from the South, she should know all about hating black people.

She looks like she’s in a daydream where she’s romping with Obama through a field of flowers.

Oh, that’s one of the best example of a hypocritical politician with a very short memory of their own actions.

Love how the liberal media ignored how 90% of the attrocities they reported on Hurricane Katrina turned out to be completely false.

Remember what was supposed to be going on at the Metrodome? The rape gangs? The stacks of decomposing bodies? All false.

Took a look at Gateway Pundit’s stats.

What Kanye West should’ve said was “George Bush Loves Asians”.

no pot shots at the president? How about waterboarding?

Democrat=hypocracy. Not saying that Republicans cannot be hypocritical, but it seems that when a democrat does it, it is okay. Republicans are bad. Democrats good. At least in the dream she seems to be having in the picture above. That is just downright creepy the way she is gazing upon him.

  9. 9 LN Jan 4th, 2010 at 11:06 am

Love the idea of waterboarding! Two thumbs up from me.

Another Dem who is not expected to hold her seat after the next election cycle.

  11. 11 Nimrod Jan 4th, 2010 at 1:14 pm

    Amen Aleric!

Is it sad that I moved to Missouri from Kansas so I could vote her out?

Ok. That isn’t the MAIN reason I moved to Missouri, but icing on the cake and all that.

  12. 12 Aleric Jan 4th, 2010 at 1:45 pm

Yay Nimrod, way to make your vote count…lol.

Rocko and California Dave are tied FTW. She does look like she’s imagining him naked.

    URP.

And had Bush NOT shown a “myopic focus on Iraq”, she would have (and probably DID) accuse(d) him of not caring while our folks died over there. She’s pretty much the textbook hypocrite.

Yes, because the ADD (in the worst sense) approach is working really well. Let’s close Gitmo and send the REALLY dangerous terrorists to the US. Let’s free detainees even after finding high rates of returning to terrorism. Let’s not use aggressive terms like “war” or “terrorist”. Let’s sit in a circle and hum Kumbiya while the One denounces nukes.

Apparently, in McCaskill’s world, Iran isn’t building a bomb, the Middle East is conflict-free, and Americans are the devil. I bet she supports the Yemenis for letting the USS Cole attackers go free, too.

If Katrina happened tomorrow, the only reason anything would turn out differently is that they have a different governor who might actually have the sense to activate the National Guard in a timely manner. Same mayor, dumber president (who would make a speech about how he intends to personally save everyone from the hurricane). Disasters of that scale overwhelm even the best, most prepared agencies. There were a lot of failures and mistakes, but Bush’s were a lot smaller than most people believe, and the actions (or rather, non-actions) of the mayor and governor were irresponsible, negligent, and bordering on criminal. It pisses me off that people blame the federal government when the majority of the responsibility (as much responsibility as is present in a natural disaster situation) was at the state and local levels, or at the personal level.

She must have forgot about her previous statement. Or she must really like Obama.

You know, if I believed in karma, I’d say Deceiver was going to catch hell at some point just for posting that photo of McCaskill in damp grannypanties. Every time I see it, I die a little inside.

    Horrid old thing. Her, too.

McCaskill neglects to mention why “George Bush let people die on rooftops in New Orleans because they were poor and because they were black.” He had warned those people to evacuate the city two days earlier. It is presumed that they chose to ignore Bush’s warning and remain in the city in order to loot and pillage. If only McCaskill had been on those roofs.

  19. 19 Beige Jan 5th, 2010 at 8:41 am

If anyone died on those rooftops in NOLA, it just MIGHT have had something to do with the shooting-at-helicopters-sent-to-help-them issue, not GWB’s Magical Hurricane-Causing Black-People-Hating Rays of Swirly Death. Or maybe the situation was worsened by the mayor’s and governor’s refusal of federal help when it would have done some good, then their determination to blame the feds once the pooch was well and truly screwed. Reductionist thinking like “NOLA got hit by a monster hurricane and the only reason people died is because the Republican president HATES BLACK PEOPLE” is, well, profoundly retarded. And also “political”. McCaskill has her head so far up her butt she can probably roll around like a hula-hoop.

The Mayor of his chocolate city refused help and let many school buses rust in window high water when he blamed Bush. Nagin fled to Texas and left “his people” to defend for themselves. I am tired of people blaming Bush for everything. Obama is 1 year into his preidency. Get over it.

And Beige – the grandma wet panty comment made me throw up. nice visual.

I try to do my part, AAW. :D

  23. 23 David Maggard Jan 5th, 2010 at 2:44 pm

One of the biggest problems is the levies and other infrastructure had been neglected and the money was instead used for liberal welfare programs to buy the democrats votes. They had a FEMA emergency plan that had never had the binder opened let alone practiced. They could have used the school buses to evacuate more people but decided not to. Many people who could have evacuated didn’t, although I am sure many stayed to protect their property from the “looting and pillaging”.
Most of the government workers(police/firefighters/emts/politicians) abandoned the public to save their own skins. But with all these facts the media and democrats put ALL blame on Bush, convenient huh?
